Originally there were 14 languages in 8th Schedule. Later on, First, Sidhi was added by 21st amendment act. After that Konkani, Manipuri and Nepali were added by 71st amendment act and 92nd amendment act introduced Bodo, Dogri, Maithili and Santhali.
